  • Pacemakers, implanted electronic medical devices, or tissue known to contain implanted electrical leads in the pet or the handler.
  • Pregnant animals or pregnancy-related exposure concerns.
  • Epilepsy, seizure history, or seizure disorders, according to current Petspemf safety materials.
  • Active bleeding or bleeding disorders.
  • Implanted metals near the treatment area — confirm with the current safety sheet.
  • Active skin lesions until fungal causes have been ruled out, because some veterinary guidance warns PEMF may worsen fungal infection.
  • Acute neurologic deterioration, acute IVDD flare-up, paralysis, severe pain, fever, swelling, open wounds, infection, or unexplained lameness unless the attending veterinarian directs use.
