Changes worth monitoring include reluctance to exercise, stiffness after rest, difficulty standing, changes in gait, reduced willingness to climb stairs or jump, and unusually prolonged fatigue after activity.

Nutritional requirements can change. Muscle mass may decline. Joint mobility can become limited. Activity tolerance and recovery capacity may decrease.

Wellness routines should therefore be reassessed rather than remaining unchanged throughout an animal’s life.

A More Integrated Approach to Pet Wellness

Long-term pet wellness rarely depends on a single intervention.

Nutrition provides the resources. Movement provides the stimulus. Recovery supports the response.
